VW T6 Transporter SWB

Now available is our ‘top spec’ VW T6 Transporter campervan conversion.

Finished in the rare and desirable ‘Cherry Red’, the Transporter has already undergone an exterior-upgrade with 20″ staggered-fit alloy wheels, Sportline style (‘extra low’) front spoiler, side bars and rear spoiler just for starters!

A fantastically specced base vehicle, the T6 includes the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and sought after tail-gate rear (with heated glass). The van also comes with front-heated seats, with all the benefits of two-driving chairs (more space, additional armrests, etc) and the ‘comfort dash’ option also selected. Within the cab is air-conditioning, a touchscreen DAB radio headunit and electric windows as well as the leather multi-function steering wheel, automatic lights and wipers, and electric-folding side mirrors. The rear ‘Park Pilot’ sensors also provided aid to the driver.

To the exterior, we have the very striking ‘Sportline’ front bumper and additional ‘Extra Low’ front lip spoiler with red-grill inserts, all together providing a very aggressive and modern finish to the front of the van. Fitted with 20″ Turbine Alloy Wheels (and brand new 275/40 tyres) in contrasting gunmetal grey, the 55″ lowering springs mean the van has the perfect stance whilst remaining comfortable enough for any journey type. Additionally, the exterior features satin black side-running bars and a colour coded rear (one piece) roof spoiler, with ‘Edition’ decals running along the bottom. The VW is also fully colour coded (mirrors, handles, bumpers, etc) and is finished off with wind-deflectors, a carbon fibre bumper protector to the rear door and red brake callipers.

The first thing to note of the camper conversion is the body-coloured, two piece, ultra-slimline pop-top roof. Keeping the roof the same colour as the rest of the van is a great ‘sleeper’ addition and doesn’t spoil the lines of the standard VW Transporter at all. The matte-black external hook-up and water filler are the only other hints of this being a ‘campervan’ to the exterior. To the rear is a Witter tow-bar. The pop-top roof is fitted with a special ‘locking’ system, making this one of the safest and most secure on the market, with heavy-duty hinges on hand to lift the roof a long way up to provide maximum headroom inside. Mounted below the rear of the VW is an underslung fresh water tank providing 60 litres of storage for fresh water.

As we enter through the sliding door of the campervan, the kitchen is the first thing to catch our eye. Finished in Nardo Grey with red surrounding trim, the kitchen has been hand-built in the UK and cut using the very latest CNC technology to give a seamless finish and has been meticulously fitted by professionals. Behind the luxury-carpeted walls of the camper is fully-insulated to keep the temperatures up on those cold days. Housed within the units is the latest Dometic 12v refrigerator with optional freezer compartment and a Dometic sink and hob (with two-ring gas burner) mounted within the black-sparkle kitchen worktop. Behind the sink unit is our exclusive, custom VanShades window-pod with red gloss splashback and pull-down blind to continue the coloured theme. In order to make the most of the space available, additional ‘flyover’ units have been added above the kitchen and the back door. The smart and effective black tambor doors are a great space saver and allow easy access to the cupboard below the kitchen as well as the wardrobe unit.

Complementing the worktop is the matching black-sparkle flooring; both very-hardwearing and stylish, this is a great addition to the van. Our very special remote-operated M1-tested rock ‘n’ roll bed has been finished in black leather with red ‘Bentley’ stitching and piping and provides the two-rear travelling seats for additional passengers. With the touch of a button, the sofa is converted to a double bed; why struggle with heavy bed mechanisms when you can move the bed with just the touch of a button? Mounted below this is our gas powered Propex night-heater with digital thermostat mounted above to keep the temperature in check.

Within the worktop is our special pull-up ‘plug and USB’ extension socket with additional 240v and 12v sockets below. Within the vertical-unit of the kitchen is the Sargent control panel; the brains and controls of the whole campervan and the whole area lit up with individually-switched bright white LED lights. Finally, within the habitation area is also a top of the range Bluetooth speaker and portable WiFi unit to provide entertainment.

Closing the sliding door reveals another custom Blind Pod with red blackout blind, and a black-out curtain over the single rear door to provide privacy of an evening. There is a fold-away, black sparkle topped, table hidden behind the drivers seat with easy access when meal time arrives. The passenger seat is swivel-based meaning it can turn around and join the party in the rear with ease.

Overhead, within the ‘pop-top’ roof is our very own, custom, body-coloured lift-up bed. Finished in gloss red, the light really reflects and adds additional brightness to the area. Accessed with ease, there is room up here for a double-mattress when required. The pop-top has three openable ‘windows’ for additional light and space when needed, and the blackout canvas provides perfect privacy when required.

As we enter the rear doors, we have additional storage space within the wardrobe and a (correctly sealed and vented, safe) gas locker below. The Sargent RCD unit and split-charger is also housed within this area. Finally, there is additional storage space below the Rock’n’Roll bed, accessed via a closable door.
